What Food Brand Would Be Best for a Pembroke Corgi Puppy?

I feed my 10 1/2 week Corgi, Blue Buffalo (Puppy) and he loves it. I hear that Innova is the best and thought about switching it. He’s tried Natural Balance but didn’t like it.

What is the most nutritious/healthiest choice out in the market today?

In my opinion Orijen is the best food on the market. That’s what I feed my dogs. They love it. It contains no grains, corn or fillers. It’s 70% meat and 30% veggies and fruits. Very healthy. I’ve heard the high protein level is a little tough on a very young puppy’s stomach and can give them diarrhea. I haven’t had this problem. But if you choose to switch him to Orijen, wait until he’s about 5 months. That being said, Blue Buffalo is a good food. If he likes it, I’d say keep him on it.

You’re fine with Blue Buffalo, especially if he loves it.
There is nothing wrong with that brand. It has good ingredients and I see no reason why you’d change brands.

No, angelica, not Eukanuba. That food is loaded with fillers and byproducts, and that company partakes in the heinous abuse of animals through laboratory experimentation.

Blue Buffalo is an excellent food, especially for corgi’s since they tend to develop weight issues. If your dog likes it then I see no need to change it. Innova is a great food if you believe dogs should be fed as complete carnivores. Many believe that dogs are meant to be omnivores with a preference for meat. The best experts still can’t come to an agreement so there is no right choice but I would stick with blue buff. It is a quality food, holistic, no filler, and very healthy

Please don’t feed the puppy what the marketers call "puppy food". Most Corgi breeders strongly recommend against it because it promoted rapid growth. This causes problems with bones muscles and joints, and can result in serious health problems including back problems, later on. As a brand Blue Buffalo is fine. Many Corgi owners prefer Avoderm.
