I’m not sure which i should get but i deffinatly want one of them. Maybe the corgi because i could train him/her to herd my geese (Yes I do have geese) or the lab to be my running partner? Plz help!
And can ou plz support your vote. I want some really good reasons why I should get one over the other. Thnx.
I have known more than one dog of both breeds, and like them both (full disclosure – my favorite breed is scottish terrier).
Figure out what you want to do with your dog. My sister (chocolate lab owner) calls hers the SUV of the dog world – good family pet, very trainable, great hunting companion, LOVES water. Kind of big if your house is small. As far as I know, there are no genes for herding in labs.
Corgies, on the other hand, were developed for herding. The ones I knew were full of energy and could probably give you a run for you money (pun intended). Herding takes lots of stamina.
Check out a few breed specific sites. Here’s a pair I found from a Yahoo search: http://corgi-l.org/ http://www.labradorretriever.com/

Well, the other people say lab,but that is because they like big dogs. Labs drool and they get ALOT of hair on everything. So really you should get a welsh corgi.

Get a Corgi my neighbor has one he sometimes comes to my house to play with my other dogs. We think one of our dogs is half corgi. Go with corgi you won’t regret it!!

own 4 labs/ lab breeder
I would get a corgi. The only problem with them is they shed a lot. But Corgi can be your running partner too. They can run real fast.

Well i suppose it depends on how much room and time you have. I would pick a Corgi just because where I live I can only have small dogs. Labs are really good dogs too but they have tons of energy and some genetic health problems. I don’t know what kind of health problems corgis have, but in labs hip displasia is really common.

I love both breeds, but like to be unique – go for the Corgi.

I have never met a chocolate lab (or any lab) I didn’t love and that didn’t love me back
The only Corgi I know, despite having a fantastic owner, is a scardey dog and barks at new people.
I’m more of a lab person. Plus, there are 1000′s of chocolate labs (and some corgi’s too) for adoption on http://www.petfinder.com
